Stendel out with slumping Barnsley bottom
Barnsley head coach Daniel Stendel has left the club after a ten-game winless run.
The 45-year-old German departs with the Tykes in the bottom two of the Championship, having collected six points from 11 games.
Adam Murray, the club’s under-18 head coach, has been appointed caretaker.
Stendel was handed the reins at Oakwell in June 2018, signing a two-year contract to replace Jose Morais, who left following relegation from the Championship.
Former Hannover coach Stendel guided the south Yorkshire club straight back to the second tier with a second-place finish in League One, but it has been a different story this term.
