Children should not be scared to use the loo. I understand the need to encourage diversity but having only one set of toilets for all is not on. As an adult it is really weird and awkward when I use the unisex toilets. I can only imagine what it’s like if you are a child.

The new James Gillespie’s High School in Edinburgh has gender neutral toilets and there is no problem. It is the way forward. Most universiti­es and some bars and restaurant­s have gender neutral toilets too. If younger children get used to it at an early age, it isn’t a big deal when they’re out and about when they’re older. Times are changing for things to be inclusive – about time too. Let’s embrace it.

Paul Sloan Glasgow City Council has revealed a £16.5 million plan to refurbish a disused primary school to further expand Gaelic education in the city.

I hope it is an unqualifie­d success. Glad to see there is a growing demand for Gaelic in Glasgow. It is such a beautiful language.

Whatever the use, I’m just glad a beautiful old building will be restored and given a new lease of life! Too many are being allowed to fall into such disrepair and then demolished to be replaced by a vanity project that does not fit in with the surroundin­g area.
