‘We didn’t lie down to Celtic…’ Bryson rap for TV pundit Thompson

HAMILTON V ABERDEEN

better than you on the day. Our downfall was that we didn’t turn up, we certainly didn’t go into the game to lie down. The manager would never send us on to the pitch saying ‘just let Celtic win’. What happened was we were rubbish and they were far better than us on the day.

“You have to win your individual battles and on Sunday we didn’t do that, I don’t think we won one of them.”

That’s not a situation Bryson expects to be repeated at Hamilton tonight as he is finally fit to start only his fifth game for the Dons since moving back to Scotland from Derby County in the summer.

Derek Mcinnes signed the midfielder as an ideal replacement when Graeme Shinnie moved in the opposite direction but niggling injuries mean he has yet to complete a full 90 minutes.

The Aberdeen manager believes Bryson’s appearance as a second-half substitute had a positive impact against Cetic and that will only increase tonight alongside Lewis Ferguson, who returns from a two game ban along with Curtis Main. Meanwhile, Hamilton striker George Oakley hopes some extra analysis of his game can help both him and Accies. The former AFC Wimbledon and Inverness striker has been working with a former team-mate from his younger years in London to find his personal strengths and weaknesses.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s clash with Aberdeen, Oakley said: “I do quite a lot of personal analysis. One of my pals who I used to play with is now at uni doing stuff like that.

“He helps me out and sends me all my stats from games to see what I can do better.

“It helps me personally and when I come into the club we look at as a whole and see what we can do better.”
