Teenage driver ‘caught doing 105mph’

A teenage motorist has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal after allegedly driving at 105mph on one of Scotland’s busiest roads.

The 18-year-old man was stopped by police carrying out checks on the A90 between Dundee and Perth on Wednesday. In a tweet, Road Policing Scotland said a number of vehicles had been stopped and their drivers charged with speeding, and said the highest recorded speed was 105mph.

Police Scotland said: “An 18-year-old male has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.”
