A lifestyle revealed: First Scottish show for works by iconic American photographer
Artist Hal Fischer in front his work A Salesman, part of a major show which opens to the public today in Gallery 3 of the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) Glasgow.
Fischer, born in 1950, photographed the gay male culture of San Francisco in the later 1970s. The exhibition will feature Gay Semiotics, along with two other major works: Boyfriends and 18th near Castro St. x 24. It will be the first time photographic works by the American artist have gone on display in Scotland.
Hal Fischer: Gay Semiotics and other seminal works runs until Sunday, 31 May 2020. Entry is free.
