#DUKEOFYORK

The Duke of York spoke to BBC Newsnight about his links to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted paedophile who died in a New York jail cell in August.

@Breesanna commented: “The media team who prepped Prince Andrew messed up. It’s made the situation worse. He didn’t decide to do that interview, he was told to. The eyes and body language was of a caught naughty boy.”

@Suechester7 chuckled: “I was shot at in Rio, but didn’t develop a no-sweat medical condition, my pits were a mess.”

Ighmarketing noted: “Anyone else notice how much the Duke of York nodded yes – as he said the word no? “

@daviecoll1 added: “With such lack of contrition he should stand for the Tories. Good news for @ Borisjohnson tho. Uxbridge has a Pizza Express.”

@Philipephiloppe felt: “Ye Gods! If the Duke of York actually had a career instead of being a publicly funded scrounger, I’d expect his resignation in the morning. That was a car crash of an interview.”

@Desipardesinews took the view that: “How about you answer questions on oath and let’s see if the truth comes out!”

#JEREMYCORBYN

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn refused four times to say whether he wants the United Kingdom to leave the European Union despite admitting it’s “one of the biggest issues facing the country” when he appeared on the BBC’S Andrew Marr Show yesterday.

@Mrsnickyclark tweeted: “Corbyn still not answering Marr on his personal position on Brexit & the EU. This matters, it’s an election issue.”

@Pippacrerar agreed: “Jeremy Corbyn again not saying whether he wants UK to leave or remain in EU – only that it would be up to the people. This constructive ambiguity worked initially, but not any more - and has impacted dramatically on Labour’s ratings.”

@Chukaumunna stated: “Jeremy Corbyn cannot bring himself to say he wants the UK to stay in the EU, despite being asked multiple times, for one simple reason: he is a Brexiter. His ‘credible Leave option’ does not even include Single Market membership. A vote for Corbyn is NOT a vote to stop Brexit.”
