Not so democratic

Your Quote of the Day (23 November) is of Jo Swinson’s core of the Lib Dem manifesto: “I don’t think you can accuse us of not being upfront about wanting to stop Brexit. We’ve been crystal clear about this from the very beginning.”

Indeed they have, despite the referendum result of 2016 to leave. In other words, democracy is only acceptable to Lib Dems if it produces their desired result. Hence, surely Jo Swinson’s party should now be renamed “The Liberal Antidemocrat Party”.
