Appeal after serious assault in harbour

-

Police in Ayr are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Troon.

The incident happened at about 6pm on Thursday at Troon Harbour.

A 27-year-old man was stabbed with an ‘unknown sharp implement’, which left him with serious injuries.

The suspect drove off in a black vehicle, possibly with roof bars and Detective Constable Paul Gartland, of Ayr CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area around the time of the incident.”
