#GREGGS

Following the success of their vegan sausage roll, the high street bakers has launched a vegan ‘steak bake’.

@avonandsummerob said: “I’ve just had a lovely slab of roast pork with all the trimmings. Much healthier than Gregg’s vegetarian steak bake which is basically carrots wrapped in lard.”

@somersetlevel said: “A cunning ploy by Greggs’ marketing team to launch their crap ‘meat substitute’ pasty in the month when so many “‘good intentions’ are born... when folk feel a bit guilty after Christmas.”

@nolittleman wrote: “There are actual grown men saying they won’t go to Greggs any more because of vegan steak bakes. Imagine having masculinity that fragile.”

@chelchrystina added: “My favourite thing about Greggs’ vegan launch day is all the meat eaters having a temper tantrum and crying ‘but why’s it called a steak bake?’ over and over despite the fact they’ve been told and it also doesn’t affect their life in the slightest.”

@Shar_a_ added: “People losing their [cool] about the new Greggs vegan bake having the word ‘steak’ in it are going to really flip their lid when they find out that

Monster Munch don’t have any real monsters in them.”

#KEIRSTARMER

Sir Keir Starmer is frontrunner in the race to lead Labour after Jeremy Corbyn steps down.

@martinfookes said: “Keir Starmer is an eminently sensible choice. So given what we know about the electorate in this contest, we can be pretty sure it won’t be him. The hard left will coalesce behind the Corbyn acolyte Rebecca Longbailey, guaranteeing many more years in the wilderness for Labour.”

@jgmcnab said: “‘Sir’ Keir Starmer. A knight of the realm is just what’s needed to remind the horny-handed sons of toil who they need to govern them.”

@_Truth_matters tweeted: “Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper would make great opposition leaders and are quite capable of leading Labour to victory.”

@fauxcanard said: “Important thing on those figures is where the other contender’s votes split but at last a slight glimmer of the smallest chink of light for the Labour Party.”

@ALEXMLB78 said: “Always said that he would be my tip for the next Labour leader. Here’s hoping he does get it :)”
