Together Energy powers up with boardroom appointment

With more than 25 years’ experience in the energy sector, Greenhorn has held a number of senior positions. Latterly he was managing director of SSE Energy Solutions and previously CEO of Airtricity Supply. Broomhead is chief executive of Warrington Borough Council, which recently took a 50 per cent shareholding in the business, representing an £18 million investment. Commenting on the appointments, Paul Richards, chief executive, said: “Kevin’s extensive knowledge and skill set is just what we need to strengthen the board, help drive the business forward and explore new opportunities. His local council and housing association experience will also be very beneficial to the business. Ben Sharples, an experienced marine engineer with extensive knowledge of design engineering, project engineering and offshore operations, joins as director of Malin Marine. He comes to Malin following a highly successful stint at JFD (James Fisher), where he helped transform the subsea company into a world leader – with substantially increased profit and turnover. Meanwhile, a new business development manager role has been created for oil and gas veteran Alan Hunter, who will focus on strengthening Malin Group’s links with the industry. Hunter brings more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, where he worked with companies including Shell and Worley on major construction projects and operating plants.
