More than 200 of the biggest brands operating in the mobile leisure market will be on display at the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow next weekend, as part of the annual Scottish Caravan Motorhome and Holiday Home Show.

This year’s event will be packed with inspiration for both those with experience in the field, and those looking to make a start. The promise that their next trip will be the perfect getaway will begin at the SEC.

Owning a holiday home, caravan or motor home comes with many benefits, and families and friends can create happy memories away from work and school without the hassle and cost of renting pricey accommodation or booking expensive flights.

Caravans, motor homes, holiday homes, luxury lodges, tents and accessories will all feature at the show, and exhibitors will include the biggest names in the industry.

Visitors will also be invited to meet manufacturers and dealers, who will line up with their most up-to-date offerings, as well as view layouts of the latest luxury eco pods.

The event – sponsored by Ayrbased BC Motorhomes – will include a Holiday Park Village, featuring representatives from more than 20 unique holiday parks across the UK, with many offering advice and deals.

Meanwhile, The Camping Village will feature a range of the latest tents and accessories, and staff from major clubs and associations – such as the Camping and Caravanning Club – will be on hand to offer expert advice.

The show’s Scottish Farmers’ and Craft Market will showcase more than 25 artisan producers, displaying in excess of 450 speciality products.

Each maker will have a represenative available to discuss the products on offer – and visitors can find out where to purchase these quality items for when they prepare to go on holiday.

Darren Brechin, event director, says: “The success of the show can be contributed to many factors, including the widest variety of the latest models and products on show, fabulous exclusive on-site deals, as well as being the largest event of its kind in Scotland.

“With 200-plus exhibitors and over 23,000 visitors, there is no other meeting place quite like this.

He continues: “As well as us seeing the increased changes in the amount of visitors and the evolving demographics coming along to The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show, the market has shown that demand for these leisure vehicles and outdoor products is higher than ever before.

“In 2019 alone, the UK caravan and camping industry totalled a staggering £5 billion in revenue.

Brechin concludes: “There really is something for everyone at this show, whether they be a novice or experienced tourer or a seasoned camper.”

The show will run from Thursday, 6 February through Sunday, 9 February, from 10am until 5pm. Standard advance adult tickets are priced £11, or will cost £13 on the door. Children aged 16 or under go free.
