Templeton returns to Accies

Hamilton Accies have resigned David Templeton on a deal until the end of season.

The former Hearts and Rangers player was at Accies during the 2017-18 campaign, where he made 36 appearances for the club and became a fans’ favourite.

Most recently at Burton Albion, Templeton had expressed an interest to be close to his family and Hamilton boss Brian Rice swooped to sign him. Templeton said: “The way the gaffer wants to play here is exactly what I want. I really enjoyed my spell here last time and excited to get going again.”

Rice added on the club’s website: “Temps is a fantastic footballer that will add a little bit of magic to the squad that we need.”

Templeton, left, will go straight into the Accies squad for tomorrow’s Premiership match against Celtic in Hamilton.
