Poetry Writing Course for Teachers
15 February, 2:30pm, £30
Are you a teacher and would you like to learn new skills for inspiring your pupils to write poetry? Over the course of four months, the Scottish Poetry Library will be offering four workshops in which you can explore your own creativity and learn and develop new ways of teaching the writing of poetry in the classroom. You can join the entire course (£100) or you can attend one or more standalone workshops (£30 each).
Love Out of Bounds
22 February, 2pm, Free
Love Out of Bounds is the theme for a storytelling workshop. Participants, who might be LGBT, straight, curious, queer or undefined, are invited to speak about love “outside the box.” This could be the story of a relationship with somebody who did not meet the expectations of friends, family or society because of their gender, sexuality, disability, class, ethnicity or religion. Ourstory Scotland will present stories from their collection, and participants will have an opportunity to share their own stories of Love Out of Bounds. Free and unticketed, this is a dropin session.
Slamprov!
11 March, 7pm, £8 (£6)
