Bath is the beautiful backdrop to this new drama featuring DCI Mcdonald (Tala Gouveia), an ambitious detective who has moved from London to further her career. The young cop is paired with shy and steady old timer DS Dodds (Jason Watkins) and with the odd couple plot device duly established, the feature-length episode sees them investigate the death of a homeless man found shot in the deserted mansion of one of Bath’s most prominent industrialists. Noughts And Crosses
The BBC’S adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s dystopian novel is set in a world where white and black people are segregated, and follows star-crossed lovers Sephy (Masali Baduza), a member of the black ruling class, and Callum (Jack Rowan), a ‘Nought’ and member of the white underclass. Look out for Stormzy – a huge fan of the novels – who plays newspaper editor Kolawale in a role created for the series.

DRAMA Jimmy Mcgovern’s Moving On
Jimmy Mcgovern’s series returns with five 45-minute dramas about compelling characters at a turning point in their lives. In the first episode, Joe (Tom Mckay) is released from prison and fitted with an electronic tag. It’s a demeaning experience until he discovers that the tag is waterproof. For Joe – a former champion swimmer – the future suddenly seems a little brighter as he takes up the sport again and meets single mum Lisa (Angel Coulby). But his budding romance is jeopardised when he neglects to tell his new girlfriend about the prison tag – and his 7pm curfew.

With fewer than 4,000 tigers left in the wild, Tigers: Hunting The Traffickers explores how tiger farms – there are up to 8,000 tigers held in captive facilities – continue to drive consumer demand for tiger products, perpetuating the illegal trade and fuelling poaching.
Working alongside wildlife crime investigators and covertly filming tiger traffickers, Aldo embarks on a perilous journey along key trafficking routes connecting Malaysia, China, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Wednesday, BBC2, 9pm

The first season of the crime drama starring Joanne Froggatt as teacher Laura and Ioan Guffudd as predatory parent, Andrew, ended on a huge cliffhanger as Andrew was revealed to be a serial rapist and then murdered. The new six-part season picks up where the old left off with the discovery of his body three weeks later. Laura is trying to move on from her ordeal and has a new relationship and has returned to work, but things start to unravel when DI Renton (new cast member Katherine Kelly) starts asking awkward questions...

Dawn French stars as Maggie, the self-appointed oracle of a close-knit community in this Cornwall-set sixpart comedy drama. When a radio journalist interviews Maggie about local life in Thurlbury, she finds herself accidentally oversharing gossip and secrets about other villagers, including local GP Carol, publican Brian, author Marcus Ormansby, hairdresser Kelly, teaching assistant Roxanna and her best friend Jill. Also starring Mark Heap and Julie Hesmondhalgh.
