What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
About two weeks ago, I bought a Sandro coat in a sale outlet called Kildare Village. It’s so soft and fluffy that I feel like a really nice rug. My kids love petting it too, so it’s worked out great for me in that they give me more attention and mini massages.
What are you addicted to buying?
Earrings! I love mismatched, Perspex, glittery, vintage, standard hoops... I’ve designed jewellery with Newbridge Silverware which has been a serious passion project.
Best ever bargain?
See above – the Hug Rug Coat. I also have a gold belt that I bought in a vintage shop for a tenner. At cost per wear it has started to owe me back.
Who has great style?
Anyone who has fun with fashion or wears scarves and hats like a boss. I love seeing what Saoirse Ronan will wear on the red carpet because she’s not afraid to have fun or mix things up.
Name your favourite high street shop.
I love vintage shops and flea markets that have quirky, local and often handmade things. My favourite shop in the world is Reformation but it’s only in the States as far as I know. It stocks ethical and sustainable clothes, added bonus!
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
In hindsight the tracksuit bottom and boat shoe look of my college days wasn’t a sartorial delight.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
A coat my dad made. He was a designer with his own label (Huberman) before he retired. It’s a beautiful long camel coat and I will treasure it forever. ■
