Man assaulted and robbed of phone in street

A man has been assaulted and robbed of his laptop and iphone in an Edinburgh street.

The 32-year-old was near the junction of Cluny Avenue and Hermitage Terrace in Morningside when two men assaulted and robbed him at 10pm on Friday.

He was not injured but was left shocked by the attack.

Police are appealing for information about the suspects, who escaped with a two-figure sum of money along with the laptop and phone. Both men ran off in the direction of Hermitage Terrace.
