£1.4m of cannabis seized in raid on industrial unit

A man has been charged after police seized cannabis with a street value of nearly £1.4 million in Glasgow.

More than 2,000 plants were recovered during the raid on an industrial unit in Lochburn Road, Maryhill.

Police said the 34-yearold suspect is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Detective Inspector Craig Mcphail said the “significant seizure” would have a “substantial impact” on the sale and supply of the Class B drug.

He thanked the public for their cooperation.
