SPFL resolution
Clubs have been asked to vote on a resolution put forward by the Scottish Professional Football League recommending the termination of the 2019-20 season in the Ladbrokes Championship, League 1 and League 2. Final season placings would be determined by points won per game in league matches played to date by each club.
The SPFL are putting the onus on the 42 clubs as to the outcome to the season. If the SPFL can’t make this decision, why do we even need them? This is just an out for the fence-sitting governing body. This way they are avoiding the threat of any legal implications that may ensue instead of making a decision and face any consequences head on.

The season should be finished, even if it takes until August to do so. Next season can start later. This proposal is just stupidity.

Perhaps those who object to the proposal on the table could also provide their (better??) solution to the problem? Personally I couldn’t give a hoot if they decide the games must be played as my club is in rude health financially and has always paid its bills and social taxes as they arise. Other clubs, however, are in a parlous state and will go bust in the next few weeks/months if the competition is not closed and prize money paid out. It brings ever closer the entertaining prospect of watching Third Rangers FC play in the lower leagues and the follow followers renewing their acquaintance with the hedge.

Declare winners etc but pay out prize money equally between the teams in each league ASAP. Then it is the opportune time to restructure to a threetier league of 14 clubs, or larger in the third tier to let Highland winners in.
