#LOCKDOWN

Police forces across the UK have warned they will crack down on those breaking lockdown rules over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

@Djpalsyp had a simple solution: “Put ankle tags on everyone –sorted.”

@markaherridge said: And about time too. We are adhering to the rules, so why can’t they? And please ignore those trying to stir up hatred towards these necessary laws – if you break them you deserve to be fined and or imprisoned. I want to survive because I listened to those better in the know.”

@Johnmcdowall1 posted: What are those people doing? They’re effectively prolonging the lockdown and causing further deaths. It’s time the government got serious. ALL public spaces closed down. EVERY person confined to their homes. ONLY exception to go to work key workers only and shopping (three times a week maximum).”

@royjford disagreed: “We are well on the way to

becoming a police state with shades of the Stasi.”

@Camiguti96 commented: “Fine them and perhaps make them spend a day or two in prison. After this I’m sure they’ll learn that in these times we must #Stayhomesavelives. Once this is over we’ll have so much time to do everything we can’t do now.”

@stax97 wondered: “Does that include buying Easter eggs?”

@Eldsusan posted: “The police have a tough job while everyone still has a different agenda. There has to be one agenda. Saving lives.”

@Isotupe commented: The problem is that #covidiots going out for non-essential reasons will end up with tighter lockdown rules to be set, which will also affect the majority of people who followed the rules.”

@jamessmyth17 added: it’s a warm Easter weekend and all the selfish morons have decided to flout government guidelines, no thought for the NHS staff they were clapping on Thursday night. Hypocrites.”
