Man charged over ‘chainsaw’ attack

A man has been charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder in West Lothian, police said.

A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with chainsaw injuries following an incident in the Rowan Place area of Blackburn at about 10.10pm on Wednesday.

Police said a 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder.

He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
