Aquarium bosses have warned the next few months could sink their business in Fife due to the coronavirus crisis, with the facility costing £90,000 a month to run.

Deep Sea World in North Queensferry usually expects around 50,000 visitors from April to the end of August.

The attraction, which is owned by a Spanish company, closed to visitors on 22 March due to coronavirus.

But the costs of maintaining its tanks and pumps and feeding the animals daily amounts to around £90,000 a month.
