Chainsaw attack ‘attempted murder’

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man suffered chainsaw injuries.

The incident, at Rowan Place in Blackburn, West Lothian, happened at about 10:10pm on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital.

David Scott, 23, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the incident. He was charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and attempted murder. He made no plea and will return to court at a later date.
