New leadership team at UKSE north of Border

UKSE, the Tata Steel subsidiary set up to assist growing businesses in traditional steel areas, has confirmed a new leadership team north of the Border.

Scott Webb has been promoted to area manager for Scotland while new hire Terry Quinn has been appointed as regional executive.

Webb, who has a background in business financing, including roles at Clydesdale Bank, North Ayrshire Council and the West of Scotland Loan Fund, joined UKSE almost eight years ago.

The Tata Steel subsidiary provides loan and equity finance of up to £1 million. Among the Scottish companies UKSE has invested in recently are biotech specialist Antibody Analytics, Ayrshire double-glazing manufacturer Scotia and Motherwell-based IT business Vectorcloud.

Webb said: “These are very uncertain times, but Terry and I look forward to speaking to ambitious businesses about their growth plans.”
