#JACOB REES-MOGG
Jacob Rees-mogg urged fellow MPS to return to the Commons next month to “set an example” to the rest of the country.
Tweeting a photo of Reesmogg’s famous slouching moment in the Commons last year, @davemacclad said: “Jacob Rees-mogg will set an example to the nation by getting back to treating his job with contempt next week.”
@carolechapman17 said: “Will they have to leave room to recline between them?”
@petergrantmp said: “It’s not acceptable for MPS to do their job anywhere except in the Commons chamber, says Jacob Rees Mogg, who last year lied to the Queen to get her to illegally shut down parliament.”
@kencoello3 tweeted: “The only reasonmogg is wanting Tory MPS back is to defend the hapless @Borisjohnson being torn apart by the brilliant @Keir_starmer. It is not essential for all 650 MPS to be in the HOC.”
@Saxboid added: “Nothing glorious about the man who accused Grenfell victims of lacking ‘common sense’ by obeying expert instructions. Now we’re being asked to employ said common sense and follow the expert guidance. He is a disgrace.”
#STEVIEWONDER
The one-time musical wunderkind turned 70.
@Bettemidler said: “In five minutes, #Steviewonder will be 70 years young. Congratulations to a #Nationaltreasure, and thank you for lighting up our lives for all these years. You are one of a kind, young man.”
@Bethfla said: “I thought he was older, but since he started his career at 12, it has been several decades. Grew up loving the songs, even when I thought the lyrics were ‘Ooh baby, here I am, science healed the liver, I’m yours!’ ”
@wyattmims tweeted: “Happiest birthday to the artist who can do it all. A talent without limit with no lack of depth in touching humanity and seeing our deepest needs which has inspired him singing us his lullabies of life.”
@Paulmccartney added: “Happy 70th Birthday to Stevie Wonder, I love you brother.”
@Werner_tman said: “Whether soul, funk, pop, blues or R&B, whether on the piano, drums or microphone, whether as a composer, songwriter or producer: @Steviewonder has been an integral part of the music industry since the 1960s.”
