Be sensible

Scotland faces Phase One of lockdown easing as Nicola Sturgeon warns she will reverse things if new guidelines are ignored.

Please be sensible. If you are coming to Portobello beach and it’s so busy and folks aren’t social distancing, don’t join in. The last thing we need is a second spike – and for the love of God, take your litter away.

Kerry Oram Next time you’re told to do something by your masters, take a few minutes of your time to check out anything they tell you to do, like scientific studies on social distancing, face masks and one thing that’s never ever mentioned for some reason and is actually the most important factor, your immune system.

Hector Mctavish And wear a mask in shops and on public transport. I wish that was mandatory rather than just a suggestion.

Paula Ryans Thank you Nicola. Best leader there is. Boris should be ashamed of himself.

Tracey Mitchell Get together with another household for a barbecue says the First Minister— but don’t use the toilet! Wonderful logic once more. Just pee in a bush.

Mark John Irvine Spare a wee thought for all us that are shielding and still staying home and selfisolating. Please follow the rules as we need the numbers to keep going down so we can get to see our families too.

Maria Glover It hasn’t even looked like there was a lockdown the last couple of weeks.

Kevin Somerville Pretty sure a lot of people were already “phase oneing”!

Lisa Cairns Is this the same rules as England being relaxed, but with a change of wording?

Carl Hufton

Stick to the rules and be careful and sensible.

Hearts transplant

“Hearts not preparing to accept relegation” - Lower league clubs speak out against Ann Budge’s league reconstruction plans

Would all this be going on if it was one or other of the Old Firm in this situation? No, everything would be done to keep them in the league; they would not be treated like this.

David M Black A lot of bubbling going on by the Hearts supporters! Bite the bullet and go down with a little dignity. When the league finished, although early, you were bottom placed team and very poor. Dry your eyes and get over it.

David Johnston If any other team were in Hearts’ position, ie being demoted before all games are played, with 24 points still to play for, wouldn’t their fans be hoping the club would put up some sort of a fight to get the decision reversed? I doubt you would expect them to meekly accept an unfair situation. It’s easy to criticise when your team isn’t affected.

Allan Brooks When your plan includes relegating almost the majority of the four leagues when the experiment is finished to save your own skin, what did you expect the reaction to be? This is the most ungracious relegation in history. Looking forward to the legal case now.

Rafael Angelo De Santos 1 Hearts bottom of league. 2 Will they get out of it. 3 Any other team would take it on nose and move on. 4 Cash no more. At the end of the day it got cancelled for health and safety reasons for teams and fans. And out of the last four games Hearts would have lost 12 points. Do what is right and go.

Keith Kocemba

It is not “league reconstruction”. If you were going to reconstruct the leagues then you would do something daring, like have a two-division premier league – both divisions equal – with proper play-offs to decide the winner.

Philip Taylor It’s just her trying to avoid going down a league. Why say “a temporary reconstruction” if it wasn’t. Scottish football has too many leagues and we need to go to three leagues, but discuss this when the dust has settled after this current situation. The decision should be made mid-season before any team is looking like they are going down a league.

Scott Fraser Just need to wait and see which clubs can play behind closed doors for a time. That’ll dictate what the leagues look like and will inevitably mean a different looking season throughout Scottish football and force some sort of permanent reconstruction.

Jaime Neal The Scottish premiership is absolutely rubbish to follow. Playing some teams four times in a season is so boring. Something needs to be changed!
