Covid-free hopes

-

Scotland could be set to completely eliminate coronavirus by the end of the summer, claims Edinburgh University professor Devi Sridhar, an expert in public health who sits on the Scottish government’s Covid-19 advisory group.

We have to be sensible now and consider closing the border to visitors. Then everyone in Scotland could get back to normal life and get back to work.

Martin Kerr I think if you actually do some research you’ll realise that the Scottish government does not hold the power to close borders. That mistake lies fairly and squarely with Boris!

Hmm. Being warned of a second wave here.

Berlin Calling

Just wait until travel restrictions are lifted and we get an influx of people who have been at the Petri dish that was Bournmouth beach etc...

Alistair Foden Even in Scotland once the marches get going again AUOB/SNP. Problems could arise.

Bernard Battles That’s the least of our worries; what about when the SNP open up the floodgates of the world and Edinburgh descends into tourist hell once again. That in a city where the council can’t get the rubbish collected or keep the streets clean in quiet times.

Raman Green All the ‘what abouters’ out again. Can you not be thankful that it has not been as bad as it could have been compared to other countries? People complain if lockdown continues then complain that cases go up when ignorant, selfish people do not follow the recommendations. It’s a loselose situation. Keep politics out of it and then use your vote. Hindsight, armchair experts and just-waituntillers in their element in this crisis.

And pigs might fly by Christmas.
