Marine consulting and safety specialist adds board director

The Aberdeen-based group said Graeme Reid brings a “wealth” of management and board experience in marine consulting, and he founded Maritime Assurance & Consulting in 2010. Group director Neil Carr said: “We are in a great position to move forward despite the effects that lockdown and the oil price has had on the market. We continue to offer a wide range of marine consulting services to assist our clients and this is set to expand.” The group, which has 24 staff, comprises units Aberdeen Marine Surveyors and AMS Safety.

He will also be responsible for steering two of Springfield’s largest developments – Durieshill, just outside Stirling, and Gavieside in West Lothian. Alasdair Mackie has also been promoted, to group engineering director. Springfield has also made the external hires of Ken Miller, Karen Campbell and Richard Bennett as the sector prepares to reopen showhomes following the lockdown. Chief executive Innes Smith said:
“[Egan’s] promotion, along with that of Alasdair Mackie, and the appointments of Ken, Karen and Richard, considerably strengthen our senior management team.”

Tyler Buchan succeeds Kerrie Murray following her promotion to chief executive. The business, which has operations across the UK, including one in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, provides integrated manufacturing services to industries including energy. Buchan previously held key roles at global oilfield specialist Forum Energy Technologies and, most recently, Brewdog, where he was head of financial processes for the past 18 months. His arrival at Pryme comes as it targets organic growth in the UK and overseas.
