The move comes as the group implements an ambitious five-year strategy to grow into a world class supply partner in the global finfish aquaculture sector. Retiring this September from Gael Force Fusion after nearly 20 years of service is operations director Iain Forbes. He said: “I am certain that the company will continue to go from strength to strength in the forthcoming years and that it is clearly in the very best of hands.” Group sales director Jamie Young and group production director Stephen Offord have both been promoted to the Gael Force Group board and will play key senior roles in driving the new strategy. New group finance director Robert Foster, who has joined the group from Halliburton, replaces the outgoing Tim Phillips, who is retiring after almost eight years of service.

In partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), Helen Lavery is working to support small and medium sized enterprises, micro businesses, social enterprises and other public sector bodies to adopt principles where, instead of products being designed to last for a short time, they are reused, repaired, remanufactured or recycled. Lavery said: “There are challenges and opportunities for businesses across the Highlands and Islands that you don’t find anywhere else in Scotland. As the economy battles against the coronavirus pandemic, we are working to support firms that are looking to make greater use of products, services and systems and minimising waste.”

Gilson Gray’s appointment of senior paralegals Fiona Nicoll and Louise Duguid is seen as a massive coup for its recently opened Dundee office because both have such encyclopaedic knowledge of the city. The fast-growing firm says the double appointment will help spearhead its continued growth across Tayside. The two senior accredited paralegals and residential conveyancing specialists are joining Gilson Gray from Blackadders LLP.
