Video firm focusing on growth

A Leith-based provider of video-collaboration software is zooming in on further growth after attracting £1 million of capital investment.

Ajenta provides specialist video conferencing services to schools, colleges and universities, as well as other public sector organisations. The business was founded in 2013 by John Wilson and Gavin Mckenzie who have each spent 20 years managing audio visual and enterprise software development, sales and deployment.

Foresight Group, the infrastructure and private equity investment manager, is pumping £1m of growth capital into the firm. It marks the fifth investment made by the £20m Foresight Scottish Growth Fund, which is financed by the Scottish Growth Scheme through a combination of Scottish Government funds and the European Regional Development Fund.
