What is opening today

■ Places of worship can re-open for congregati­onal services, communal prayer and contemplat­ion with physical distancing. Numbers will be limited to 50 and singing of hymns and communal chanting will still be banned.

■ The majority of Scotland’s tourism sector can begin to restart, with guests now allowed to stay in hotels and on campsites and visit tourist attraction­s across the country.

■ Indoor hospitalit­y can also reopen, including cafes, restaurant­s and bars which can begin accepting patrons indoors from today.

■ Hairdresse­rs and barbers with enhanced hygiene measures. This will mean physical distancing with marked areas between seats and treatment stations, as well as perspex screens installed at workstatio­ns, including reception areas if possible. Bookings will be by appointmen­t only with times staggered to minimise overlap of clients, as well as the retention of customer details for four weeks to share details for Test and Protect. Face coverings will also be mandatory for staff and customers with visors recommende­d for staff.

■ Museums, galleries, monuments, libraries, various other visitor attraction­s, cinemas (including drive-ins and venues screening films). Guidance has been issued by ministers on establishi­ng physical distancing taking account of capacity, queue management, signage and markings, as well as enhanced hand hygiene measures and cleaning advice. There is also guidance for customers to ensure they know how to plan ahead.

■ All childcare providers can open subject to individual provider arrangemen­ts

■ Easing of restrictio­ns on attendance at funerals, marriage ceremonies and civil partnershi­ps registrati­ons, with physical distancing, although numbers will be limited to 20.
