Carlsberg result watered down

Danish brewer Carlsberg said its second-quarter net profit dropped 7.3 per cent as all its markets were affected “to a greater or lesser extent” by the global coronavirus outbreak.

The Copenhagenbased brewer said it saw “a modest decline in western and eastern Europe, while the solid growth continued in Asia”. Second-quarter revenue slid 14.6 per cent and total sales volumes fell 7.8 per cent.
