They were not allowed back into school until after lunch, so they sat in class soaking wet as there are only a couple of small shelters outside. They couldn’t nip home, as many are bussed to school.

My daughter started high school and came home saying there is no social distancing at all. In fact, she was getting pushed along in the corridor to get to class because there was so many kids. So much for “we’ve got it all sorted at school..”

Unless they are planning on escorting each child back to their parent individual­ly at a specified time, I don’t see an alternativ­e. Drum it in for years to be there to pick them up at the right time and now you don’t? Get a grip, will you!

It is possible to wait to collect your child and still socially distance from other parents. My daughter’s school lets kids out one by one at their door, parents steps forward to get them. If parents have actual concerns re: how their child’s school is doing things, speak to the school, they are there to be spoken to. People rejected the part-time plan, wanted kids back in full-time but have to realise for that to happen and continue to happen they also have a part to play. of the way every day!
