#GYMS

Nicola Sturgeon announced that Scottish gyms could reopen on 31 August, two weeks earlier than the last ‘indicative date’.

@Chloegkennedy said: “Finally!”

@annarobertsxn said:

“31 August can’t come quick enough, I need some serotonin.”

@RFC1872GER said: “Everyone before 31 August: ‘It’s a disgrace gyms are not open, I’d totally be there.’ Everyone after 31st: ‘Och, my hamstrings went, will maybe go next week’.”

@Linda16 said: “When gyms are closed and Mcdonalds is open – it’s not about health.”

@Darrenconnell1887 said: “It means nothing to me, the pavement is my gym, pain is my cardio.”

@1888Steven tweeted: “Good, can’t wait to start paying for a membership that I’ll probably never use.”

@emcletters said: “Cases highest in three months, indoor spaces are where that’s happening (pubs, factories, house parties – lack of distancing one issue) yet indoor gyms reopening... How sensible is it... What’s a workout worth if you lose your health to Covid as a result?”

@BILLYPTSD said: “My mental and physical health are deteriorating sitting in the house for 20x weeks, Eleanor. Yes, opening up the gyms is a huge step in the right direction. Lockdown comes at a cost, as well you know. We can’t be locked up indefinitely.”

#TOWEROFLONDON

Ravens are said to be abandoning the historic tourist attraction, bored by the lack of visitors .

@penn48 said: “Even the ravens from #Toweroflondon are suffering Lockdown fatigue.”

@commaficianado said: “How astonishingly apt. If the ravens leave, the country and monarchy will fall...”

@karmalunc said: “This is a bull **** story, they can’t fly away, their wings are clipped to prevent them from doing so.”

@electric_foxs said: “Clipped feathers grow back. Clipped wings still allow birds to glide quite effectively.”

@tommyeas2 said: “Maybe if the media stopped whipping everyone into a frenzy over everything, people might just want to visit places again. Also, if tourist spots became more realistically priced more Brits would go and make up the numbers!”

@mixplaining said: “Nevermore.”
