Covid-19 cluster found in Forth Valley area
A c o r o n av i r u s c l u s t e r h a s b een confirmed in the NHS Forth Valley area.
The health board announced that five positive Covid-19 cases had been identified yesterday. Contact tracing has identified five business linked to the outbreak – Village Inn in Dunblane, Tesco in Dunblane, GS Meldrum Newsagent in Dunblane, Bridge of Allan Sports Club as well as the Mcdonald’s on Drip Road in Stirling.
Dr Jennifer Champion, consultant in public health medicine, said: “NHS Forth Valley has been working closely with our council partner to invest i g a t e t hi s c l us te r. Cl o s e contacts have already been contacted by our Test and Protect ser vice, so if you have not been contacted by the NHS then you do not require to self-isolate or book a test.
“I wo u l d l i k e t o r e a s - sure the local community that the risk remains low. Howe ve r, i t ’s i mp o r t a n t to continue to follow the n a t i o n a l g u i d a n c e . T h i s includes physical distancing indoors and outdoors, washing your hands regularly, using hand gel provided and arranging to get tested immediately if you develop any of the symp - toms of Covid-19.”
