Edinburgh agritech innovator IGS adds to management team

Edinburgh agritech and smart spaces business IGS has welcomed Kathleen Honeyman to its management team as global projects director. Her appointmen­t marks a step change in the company’s developmen­t as it moves to deliver vertical farms to customers around the world. The new role will see Honeyman take overall leadership of the successful delivery of each Igs-built vertical farm worldwide, engaging closely with our deployment and supply chain partners. She will build an internatio­nal team of project managers to ensure the resource and skills within IGS to deliver extremely precise systems to a highqualit­y threshold. South African-born Honey man has lived in Scotland for more than 18 years. She joins IGS from Edinburgh Airport where she was senior project manager.

The Data Lab, Scotland’s innovation centre for data and AI, has appointed a new head of business developmen­t. With more than 25 years’ experience in senior data and analytic roles within a number of global businesses, Mark Wilkinson joins The Data Lab from Teradata, where he led a multi-disciplina­ry team to deliver high impact business outcomes for customers through the use of data intelligen­ce. Before joining Teradata, Wilkinson worked with Experian in multiple leadership roles, heading up teams dedicated to supporting clients in achieving their overall strategic business objectives in both the short and long-term by maximising value from data and analytics.

A Scottish legal firm has swooped to land one of the country’s top property lawyers to spearhead its expansion across Dundee and Tayside. Lindsay Darroch, a respected industry heavyweigh­t with 27 years’ experience, has been appointed partner and head of Gilson Gray’s Dundee office–continuing the firm’s record of securing the best talent in the market place. Darroch, whose main focus is property and private client work, will lead Gilson Gray’s sixth full-service office on South Tay Street, which opened earlier this year. The Dundee local joins Gilson Gray from Aberdein Considine, where he was a partner. Before this he spent 20 years at Blackadder­s LLP where he was part of the senior management team.Darroch, 49, said: “I’ve been incredibly impressed with Gilson Gray and its work for quite sometime. Its energy and focus have really resonated with me and aligns with what I want the legal profession in Dundee to achieve.”
