Speaking as someone who worked for many years in international shipping, the Japan trade deal beggars belief.

Instead of trading with near neighbours (Grangemouth to Rotterdam 500 nautical miles) we now “celebrate” being able to trade with Japan (Grangemouth to Tokyo 13,300 nautical miles).

Am I missing something or has the Tor y government, apart having lost the B rexit plot, now losing the envi - ronmental one as well as ever y other plot imaginable. Ah well, we get what the majority voted for!
