Major milestone in £40m boost to Renfrewshire connectivity

Renfrewshire is hailing a milestone in its connectivity, with work under way to bring full fibre infrastructure to homes and firms in the region as part of a £40 million private investment from Cityfibre. Work has started in Paisley, and access to the network should be available from early 2021. Cityfibre has named David Cannon (left), formerly of the David Macbrayne Group and Scottish Enterprise, as its city manager. Cityfibre boss Greg Mesch said such connectivity will put the region at the front of the digital transformation the firm is driving across the country.
