G4S snubs £3bn Canadian offer

Canadian firm Garda-World said it has bid almost £3 billion to take control of UK security giant G4S.

But G4S responded by saying its board unanimously rejected the offer, believing it“significantly under values” the business and its prospects. G4S said: “The board believes the timing of the proposal is highly opp or tunis - tic, coming as it does at a time of severe turbulence in global financial markets.”
