#FACEMASKIMMUNITY

Academics have suggested face masks may be inadvertently giving people Covid- 19 immunity by getting them used to a reduced dose of the virus.

@Kateforster20 said: “There appear to be associations with levels of air pollution ( pre- lockdown) and fine particulate matter PM2.5 air pollution from wood burning, wild fires, vehicles ( higher in diesel) impairs immune response in lungs.”

@S_ quitulias wrote: “Really don’t understand this at all. Honestly being bombarded with crap about this virus for so long I don’t care anymore. I wear my mask etc, now leave me alone until there are definitive answers, not just speculation, no matter how viable it appears to be.”

@herrheron tweeted: “Making statements based on a theory put you in the same category as any conspiracy theorist. ‘ If this THEORY bears out, researchers argue, then population- wide mask wearing MIGHT ensure that a higher proportion of Covid- 19 infections are asymptomatic.” Peer reviewed study needed.”

@ USISC1 said: “It ‘ might ensure a higher proportion of Covid19 infections are asymptomatic’ – or it might not. The state of being asymptomatic but also carrying the virus may not depend on the dose one receives, but on one’s specific immunological chemistry.”

# ROYALBABY

The Palace said Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting a child early in 2021.

@ridiculouspoppy tweeted: “Happy Days... what fabulous news to receive over my morning coffee.... Huge congratulations to both Jack and Eugenie, you have made my day. Good luck. Couldn’t happen to a lovelier couple.”

@sioncom wrote: “Is this the one who thought having a massive extravagant wedding would be just the ticket to cheer up the plebs during lockdown, before someone pointed out to her that it could be seen as a tad insensitive?”

@Janedoe said: “Congratulations! Hopefully Me- gain won’t do anything to try to upstage them...”

@Vmkirk added: “Any news of a baby is lovely. But, we don’t need any more ‘ royals’. A very much slimmed down monarchy is needed, with more members needing to pay for themselves?”
