SBN and STV unite to support Scots firms

Scottish Business Network ( SBN) has t eamed up with STV to help propel economic growth north of the Border.

SBN – which says it is the largest community of Scottish business leaders and entreprene­urs around the world – and the broadcaste­r will offer opportunit­ies for members to help them scale their businesses and build their brands, both at home and globally.

These i nclude £ 20,000 of gifted airtime from the STV Growth Fund for the Scottish Business Network; collaborat­ion on events, such as the upcoming Scottish Internatio­nal Week, STV Growth Academy, SBN webinars and master classes, and an STV- led session for consumer- focused members of SBN.

Danielle Kelly, STV’S strategic developmen­t director, will host a session on media and the power of TV advertisin­g as part of the line- up at SBN’S flagship Scottish Internatio­nal Week event, which returns for its fourth year at the end of this month.

The move comes amid the aim by STV – which says it reaches at least 87 per cent of Scots a month – to boost the economy by enabling firms to build their brand on TV. Kelly said: “Now more than ever we need to join forces to help boost the Scottish economy.”

SBN chair Russell Dalgleish said: “We welcome STV’S participat­ion as a partner and I know that delegates will be drawn to the session to be delivered by STV.

“We believe the opportunit­y, talent and insight that STV brings to this partnershi­p will be invaluable to our members in Scotland and around the world.”
