Dogged determination: Camilla meets the Covid hunting medical detective dogs
The Duchess of Cornwall meets a dog taking part in a demonstration by the charity Medical Detection Dogs, which trains dogs to detect the odour of human disease, including Covid-19, during a visit to Paddington railway station in London.
Camilla was joined by UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock for the event staged by the Medical Detection Dogs where Labradors, trained to sniff out the virus, were put through their paces in a real-life environment after department of health-funded clinical trials, a collaboration between the charity and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Durham University.
