SNP MPS are planning to vote against the Prime Minister’s Brexit deal tomorrow. @Realstephenkerr, the Tory MP, said: “Nicola Sturgeon would rather Scotland leave the EU without a deal, because she thinks she can use the impact of that to gain political capital for independence.” @Scotwedphotos replied: “SNP represents people of Scotland who voted 62% against leaving the EU, single market and losing all the benefits of being in the EU. Traitors in the @Scottories have never represented what's best for Scotland & now expect SNP to vote for less than we already had" @themajorityscot wrote: “The SNP are so desperate for the grievance power of No Deal that they're actually voting for No Deal, against the

EU they want to be a member of (and against everyone else who just wants this over).”

@binman1869 tweeted: “For 60 years Westminster has told nations seeking their independence they can’t survive alone yet not one has asked to be a colony again. Neither will Scotland, whose place in 21st century is as an independent nation. Not another ignored region.”

@Earlgreyslipper added: “Astounding response from Sturgeon – voting to reject EU deal when she spends her time crawling to the @ Eu_commission. People of Europe, please note she’s willing to throw all of you under the bus because of her one-note nationalist agenda. #MARTINLAMBIENAIRN Martin Lambie-nairn, the designer behind dozens of BBC, ITV and Channel 4 'idents', has died aged 75.

@Allkinsdavid wrote: “Sad to hear this. His work helped the channels feel special.”

@Bravoripper dded: “I loved that [BBC2] two and all the things it could do.”

@nicolabarlow wrote: “A huge name in the television industry, producing so many memorable images over several decades.”

@SJW_96 tweeted: “Very sad. The BBC1 balloon and the Anglia flag are some of the earliest TV idents I remember.”

@intouchwithhox wrote: “A genius lost. The Anglia branding was a game changer for a relatively nondescript franchise and made it hold its own in the Carlton and Granada world that beckoned.”

@clivefc added: “Oh he was a giant of TV visual identities.”
