The police teams featured have led the way in developing this tactic, which has seen hundreds of child sex offenders not previously known to police, identified and arrested. It is bleak but important works as, according to the National Crime Agency, 300,000 people in the UK are considered a threat to children either through physical ‘contact’ abuse or online.
