Tory trouble

-

The Scottish Conservatives could lose their position as the second-largest party at Holyrood as the SNP secures an outright majority of seats, a bombshell new poll suggests. Did their constant calls for the First Minister’s resignation hurt their case?

I personally think the Scottish Conservatives have made a complete pig’s ear of how they handled the whole Sturgeon thing and they are now paying the price for that incompetence.

Well however much this is bad news, given the Tories would still be third, instead of last. It’s votes that count. Just imagine, in an FPTP system, if that were used in Scotland, the Tories would be lucky to get a handful Of seats. Sadly, these people continue to sneak in via the list.

Everyone is always telling everyone else to resign. They all need to raise their game, partisan party politics is just tedious and distracts from the things that really matter. And I'm talking about all parties here, none are immune from criticism.

Philip Allwright

Given the murderous effect of Tory policies on the poor – ten years of austerity, universal credit and Covid to name but 3 – I fail to understand how anyone with an it ounce of common sense or compassion could even consider voting Tory.

John Hood

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the SNP have seriously failed our children in Scotland. Child poverty in Scotland is scandalous, with 40,000 children in poverty. The decline in standards of Education in Scotland is no better.

Denys Mcnair Their type of personal attack politics disgust the Scottish voter and shows the lack of awareness in what is a very poor group.
