Ashtead Technology appoints Scott as new renewables lead

● Ashtead Technology has created a new role to head up its increasing activities in renewable energy.

The integrated underwater technology and services company has appointed Scott Stephen to oversee the firm’s growing presence and enhance its service offering to support the global renewables market.

Based at Ashtead’s recently opened Thainstone technology centre in Aberdeensh­ire, UK, Mr Stephen has been promoted to the role after four years with the company, latterly as an asset integrity business developmen­t manager and formerly as sales manager. Following a handful of strategic acquisitio­ns over the past four years, Ashtead Technology has offshore operationa­l bases in key locations including Abu Dhabi, Broussard, Halifax, Houma, Houston, London and Singapore. The company has been servicing the energy sector for 36 years with its bespoke underwater tools and systems. Thefirmhas beendivers­ifyinginto­the renewables market where its equipment fleet and engineerin­g skills developed to support the oil and gas industry are also suited to the requiremen­ts of offshore wind developers’ installati­on and operations and maintenanc­e work.

Brewer Innis & Gunn has bolstered their in-house marketing team with a host of new hires to support their ambitious growth plans. Marketing investment in the business has also increased by a further six figures on previous year, as the brewer seeks to continue momentum and further build awareness in England.

Fiona Kennie has been appointed in the new role of director of marketing and brings 20 years of broad marketing experience across a variety of strategic roles, spanning the breadth of the global drinks industry. Working across whisky, beer, cider and white spirits, Fiona has led strategic marketing planning across campaign developmen­t, brand positionin­g, consumer insight, and innovation.

Fiona will lead Innis & Gunn’s internal marketing team, which now includes nine staff, with four new appointmen­ts and two further roles to be added.
