Two practices join largest dental group
Two Highland dental practices that have been established for more than 30 years have become part of Scotland’s biggest dental group with some 400,000 patients.
Mcintyrecorbet&associates becomesthenewestmemberof theclydemunrodentalgroup, taking the business to 49 practices across Scotland.
A practice in Dingwall was bought over by Iain Mcintyre in 1988, before the service was expanded due to patient demand to a second site, in Invergordon, when Chris Corbet joined the team in 1990. The pairbecamefriendswhilestudying dentistry together at the University of Dundee and have been fronting the practice for more than 30 years.
Financialdetailssurrounding theagreementwithclydemunro have not been disclosed.
Mcintyresaid:“ourdedicated team have helped create practices we’re immensely proud of. Many of the patients we treat have been attending the practice for generations. It is extremelyfulfillingtoplaysuch an integral part in the heath care of the local community.
“With Clyde Munro on board we’ll have continuity for our patients. We are excited to see the opportunities that will arise with the growing group, which I’m sure will present future growth and patient care enhancements.”

Clyde Munro was founded by Jim Hall in 2015 with the acquisition of seven practices. Since then, it has enjoyed rapid
growth and now comprises 49 practices across Scotland, with more than 400,000 patients.

The latest deal comes less than a month since Clyde Munro sunk its teeth into an Edinburgh-based implant pioneer.
The Glasgow-headquartered group sealed the “breakthrough” acquisition to drive both its growth and plans to roll out greater implant expertise across the east of Scotland.
Fairmilehead Dental Practice & Implant Centre in the capital was founded and is led by implant pioneer Dr Duncan Robertson. He will become a crucial member of the clinical development team for at least two years, focusing on growing thefirm’sexpertiseinadvanced dentistry and implantology across the east of Scotland.
Fairmileheaddentalpractice &Implantcentrehasbeenatits current location since 2003. It hassome3,000privatepatients and also treats children on the NHS.
