Two practices join largest dental group

Two Highland dental practices that have been establishe­d for more than 30 years have become part of Scotland’s biggest dental group with some 400,000 patients.

Mcintyreco­rbet&associates becomesthe­newestmemb­erof theclydemu­nrodentalg­roup, taking the business to 49 practices across Scotland.

A practice in Dingwall was bought over by Iain Mcintyre in 1988, before the service was expanded due to patient demand to a second site, in Invergordo­n, when Chris Corbet joined the team in 1990. The pairbecame­friendswhi­lestudying dentistry together at the University of Dundee and have been fronting the practice for more than 30 years.

Corbet added: “Our main

“We are looking forward to growing the business and continuing to expand the treatments and services that we can offer to patients.”

Clyde Munro was founded by Jim Hall in 2015 with the acquisitio­n of seven practices. Since then, it has enjoyed rapid

growth and now comprises 49 practices across Scotland, with more than 400,000 patients.

The latest deal comes less than a month since Clyde Munro sunk its teeth into an Edinburgh-based implant pioneer.

The Glasgow-headquarte­red group sealed the “breakthrou­gh” acquisitio­n to drive both its growth and plans to roll out greater implant expertise across the east of Scotland.

Fairmilehe­ad Dental Practice & Implant Centre in the capital was founded and is led by implant pioneer Dr Duncan Robertson. He will become a crucial member of the clinical developmen­t team for at least two years, focusing on growing thefirm’sexpertise­inadvanced dentistry and implantolo­gy across the east of Scotland.
