RICHARDSON Faith Elizabeth (nee Walker, Iredale)

Died peacefully at home, Augustine House, Corstorphi­ne, Edinburgh, on April 6, 2021. She was born on August 29, 1934, in Whitehaven, Cumbria. Faith, (also known as Faye and in Cumbria as Betty) arrived in Edinburgh to train as a nurse at the Royal Infirmary in 1952, graduating in 1955. She met Jim (deceased 2005) and on April 5, 1956 they married in India where Jim managed tea estates. On returning back to Edinburgh in 1965 Faith initially returned to nursing at the Royal Infirmary.

In 1968 she changed employment to become a nursery school nurse. After a number of years she had a further career change and became a nurse to the elderly working in a number of different homes for the elderly in Edinburgh plus further afield in Scotland. Together Faith and Jim had 4 children, Alasdair, Peter (deceased 2020), Iain and Fiona and 6 grandchild­ren, Christophe­r, Andrew, Greg, Emily, Amber and Sam. They have two great-grandchild­ren Rory and Hailey. Faith passed away peacefully at home with family in attendance, much loved forever missed. Funeral will take place at
