Key changes announced in Scotland’s easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions
Lockdown easing in Scotland will go ahead on Monday. Here are the planned changes through spring and summer. From April 26: Scotland moves from Level 4 to 3 • Up to six from two households can socialise indoors in public • Hospitality venues open until 8pm indoors - but without alcohol - and outdoors where alcohol is allowed. Licencing laws will apply outdoors • Gyms and swimming pools open • All shops, stores and close contact services open • Tourist accommodation open with restrictions • Driving lessons and tests resume along with close contact services, such as beauty parlours • Nonessential indoor work - such as decorating- can take place • Funerals and weddings will be allowed to take place with up to 50 and alcohol permitted • Indoor attractions and public buildings reopen • Travel between Scotland, England and Wales permitted • Adults on shielding list can return to workplace, while shielding children can return to school From May 17: Scotland moves from Level 3 to 2 • Up to four from two households can socialise indoors at home, and six from three households in public • Up to eight from eight households can meet outdoors • Pubs can sell alcohol indoors until 10.30pm. Licencing laws apply outdoors • Outdoor adult contact sport restart • Cinemas, theatres, comedy clubs, amusement arcades and bingo halls open • Universities and colleges return to a blended model of learning • Outdoor non-professional performance arts resume • Outdoor and indoor events resume. Maximum of 100 indoors, 500 outdoors seated and 250 outdoors standing. From June 7: Scotland moves from Level 2 to 1 • Up to eight from three households indoors in public and up to six from three households privately • Up to 12 from 12 households can meet outdoors • Indoor hospitality until 11pm • Attendance at events can increase, with 200 indoors, 1,000 outdoors seated and 500 outdoor standing • Funfairs and soft play reopen.
From late June: Scotland moves from Level 1 to 0 • 10 from four households can meet indoors in publicand eight from four households in private • Limits on outdoor meetings to 15 from 15 households • The number allowed at events increases.
