Orcas and otters: Rare sighting of killer whales playing with a sea otter

Orcas have been spotted playing with a sea otter in a rare sighting.

Wildlife enthusiast Karen Munro, 44, has been following killer whales for nearly 20 years and spotted the orcas off the coast of Caithness.

The weather wasn't great but she said it was worth it to see the stunning creatures at play. She said: "We weren't convinced the orcas got it. We think they were just playing with it. The youngsters are probably using it to learn how to hunt. One of my friends thinks it got away.”
