World Test champions to net prize worth £1m
The winners of the inaugural World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand will land prize money of over £1million, with England picking up almost £250,000 after finishing fourth in the table.
The two finalists will go head to head at the Ageas Bowl from Friday, competing not just for the considerable financial rewards but also for the bragging rights of being the first Test 'champions' and custody of the International Cricket Council's ceremonial mace.
The runners-up can still console themselves with a £567,000 payday.
